Will Nicole Kidmans new movie Invasion Suck?

The Invasion
is a 2007 science fiction film based on a screenplay by Dave Kajganich, originally meant to be based on the 1956 film Invasion of the Body Snatchers. According to Wikipedia they shot the film back in Sept 2005. The Studio disliked the first cut so much that they Fired the Director and the Writers!. Had the Film rewritten by the guys who did the Matrix, Re-shot Scenes and had the whole thing reedited in early 2007!

Most film Productions take 10-12 months from the First day of shotting to release. This Film took almost 2 years. If I knowing anything massive re shoots means the film sucked hardcore.

Reports say this First version was low-key. Using little to no special effects but from the Trailer I saw in Tranformers this new version is pretty much Falling UFO's, Zombies, People falling off of Buildings and Crazy Car Crashes

Worst thing is Nicole Kidman had to stay that horrid Blond for over a year. BITCH GO BACK TO RED.

Disturbia was a great Film for a teen Flick.

I wasn't expecting much from the new Teen Flick "Disturbia" In the previews it looked like a cheesy remake of "Rear Window". It turned out to be a really good movie. It wasn't all about blood and gore like the the "Saw" films but it still had me jumping in my seat a few times. The guys over at ASL Movie heads did a really cute review

MPAA says "No more smoking for you Hollywood!"

Have you ever seen the movie "Thank you for Smoking" If not let me tell you the the basics. A Pro-Smoking lobbyist (Arron Eckhart) attempts to convince a Hollywood producer to inject people smoking in all his films. So more Americans would start smoking. There is a political battle between Eckhart and William H Macy an anti-smoking Governor. Who is trying to ban smoking in films. Hyjinks insure and the whole thing is Very Fuuny.

What does that have to do with the real world you ask? Well it looks like a real life battle is happening now MPAA is trying to stop smoking for real in films and there asking an Ivy league school for help.

The MPAA asked Harvard for advice on how to handle movie smoking. Harvard's response? "We're suggesting that they take smoking out of youth accessible films: G, PG and PG-13, which make up 85% of all movies." And the MPAA is listening.

The MPAA has a relatively new boss—Dan Glickman—and as we reported earlier this week, he's making some moves. The organization has come down on revolting ads for the horror film Captivity, perhaps hoping to impress the government with its responsiveness on the issue of Hollywood selling violence in a manner that reaches children. With the Federal Trade Commission about to release a report on that issue, Glickman's actions may be too little, too late. And the MPAA could have similar problems when it comes to smoking.

Powerful anti-smoking groups have been pushing the MPAA to slap any movie that shows smoking with an automatic R rating, unless that movie deals with a historical figure who actually smoked (think Good Night and Good Luck) or shows people suffering hideous consequences as a result of their folly. According to the research of a group called Smoke Free Movies, most PG-13 movies depict smoking, and that contributes to hundreds of thousands of kids taking up cigarettes.read more
Do you think Kids start smoking becuase they watch it in a Movie? Do you think any movie with smoking should be rated R? Leave a comment and tell me what you think

Friday means Movie Night

Today is Good Friday so not a lot is going on today in my life and it's a slow news day.
But what is making news is the new movie " The Grindhouse" . The Film itself is two movies in one. It's a Double Feature like that used to have in the 70's and I guess the 80's. {side note I once went to a double showing of "Ten Things I Hate About You" and "Mystery Alaska". let me tell you sitting 2 hours in those crap movies was rough} But thats beside the point. This movie looks awesome. The plot summary goes like
An homage to exploitation B-movie thrillers that combines two feature-length segments into one double-bill designed to replicate the grind house theatergoing experience of the 70s and 80s. In "Death Proof," a psycho named Stuntman Mike (Kurt Russell) stalks and kills beautiful women with his car. In "Planet Terror," a small-town sheriffs' department has to deal with an outbreak of murderous, infected people called "sickos." A gun-legged woman named Cherry (Rose McGowan) and her martial arts-wielding partner (Freddy Rodriguez) take on the zombie army. The two films will be fused together by fake movie trailers.
Rose McGowan has a gun for a Leg which makes the movie worth a go all by itself. Here is the Trailer

Lily Tomlin Goes Ape Shit on Director

Not to confuse anyone but this incident took place back in 2004 on the set of I ♥ Huckabees. The first video is footage of a scene in a car containing Tomlin, Dustin Hoffman and Isabelle Huppert in the front of the car with Mark Wahlberg and Naomi Watts in the back seat. Russell cannot be heard, but Tomlin is repeatedly shouting angrily at Russell's direction. At one point, Tomlin attempts to get out of the car; at another, she berates Watts and Hoffman. The other actors in the scene remain mostly silent throughout the video, except Hoffman, who suggests they carry on shooting the scene. The car scene was never used in the final film.

In the second video, a scene is being filmed in the Jaffe detective offices, Tomlin, Hoffman and Jason Schwartzman are present. Russell gives Tomlin direction until Tomlin criticizes Russell's directing style. The video is then cut to moments later when Russell rises from the floor and shoves props off of the desk Tomlin is acting behind. Russell shouts obscenities at Tomlin, storming off the set, only to come back a short while later. The argument between the two briefly continues until Russell exits the set again, knocking over a lamp on his way out.
I Heart Huckabees Lily Tomlin/Director Freak OutFull Screen

Both Videos are sort of Surreal. But this Director has had problems with cast membes in the past. He made George Cloony go ape shit too.
